The High Performance Face Cream is not a moisturizer in the conventional sense. It is a structural treatment in cream form, anchored by the patented MA37® complex — Dr. Alexiades's proprietary system of 37 classes of actives that defines every formula in the collection — and elevated here by two of the most technically demanding and rarely used ingredients in modern dermatology: copper lysinate/prolinate and a Plankton, Micrococcus, Arabidopsis DNA repair system that sits at the frontier of skin science.

Key Actives

MA37® patented complex — The scientific foundation of the entire DR. MACRENE actives line. MA37® refers to Dr. Alexiades's patented system of 37 classes of actives — the broadest multi-pathway approach to skin aging in the collection, addressing firmness, hydration, barrier integrity, environmental defense, cellular repair, and luminosity simultaneously. Every product in the line is built on this architecture. The cream deploys it in full.

Copper lysinate/prolinate — a rarely used, technically demanding copper peptide — Not all copper peptides are equal. This is copper chelated to lysine and proline — the precise amino acid building blocks of collagen — making it exceptionally bioavailable, stable, and targeted in a way standard copper peptide forms are not. Once absorbed, it directly stimulates collagen and elastin synthesis and accelerates skin repair at the fibroblast level. It is one of the most clinically validated actives in dermatology — and one of the least used in skincare, because its stability requirements and cost make it difficult to formulate with correctly. Dr. Alexiades formulated with it anyway, because the clinical evidence left no other choice.

Plankton, Micrococcus, Arabidopsis DNA repair system — the ingredients almost no one works with — Marine and terrestrial plant enzyme extracts with a scientifically  documented ability to repair UV-induced DNA damage in skin cells — the cumulative damage that, left unaddressed, drives accelerated aging, loss of firmness, and long-term structural breakdown. It is costly, pH-sensitive, reactive with common preservative systems, and technically demanding to keep stable in a finished formula. Very few formulators attempt it. Dr. Alexiades includes it because the mechanism is irreplaceable and her scientific background gives her the tools to do it right.

Ergothioneine — One of the most potent and stable antioxidants known to science, with a dedicated cellular transporter in human skin. Protects mitochondrial DNA from oxidative damage and has been associated with slowing the cellular aging process itself. Rarely seen in skincare due to its cost and sourcing complexity.

Organic mushroom extract (Tremella fuciformis) — A botanical hyaluronic acid alternative with superior water-holding capacity, delivering deep sustained hydration while supporting the skin's own moisture regulation mechanisms.

Olive-derived lipids & squalane — Structurally similar to the skin's own lipid barrier, these replenish the protective layer that locks moisture in and keeps environmental aggressors out, restoring suppleness without heaviness.

Antioxidant complex — Edelweiss, microalgae, plankton, green coffee, yerba mate, feverfew, resveratrol, and stabilized vitamin C form a comprehensive defense against the oxidative stress that degrades collagen, accelerates fine lines, and diminishes radiance over time.

Full amino acid complex — Mirrors the skin's own natural moisturizing factors to continuously restore softness, barrier integrity, and the appearance of smooth, healthy skin.
