Dry or mature skin usually has a compromised skin barrier due to genetics, the environment, or thinning of the skin. Some treatments for dry or mature skin include topical therapy to replenish the outer lipids to the skin which helps the barrier and prevents water loss to keep the skin plump and hydrated.
