While you can use a retinol product after applying your High Performance Serum, you are not required to use such a product for additional anti-aging benefits.
The High Performance Serum contains 50 ingredients and is proven to help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, lift and tighten, help with restoration, strengthen the barrier and brighten the complexion. Additionally, the Serum illuminates and hydrates the skin. It does not contain a retinol or acids so as not to irritate sensitive skin individuals.
Tip: If you’d like to include a retinol product in your routine, apply a pea size amount before bed after your MACRENE actives products have been fully absorbed into the skin. For those with more sensitive skin, Dr. Macrene recommends applying once weekly on Sunday evenings. Make sure to use additional sunscreen during the day as retinol makes the skin vulnerable to UV rays.
