Violet Grey, June 2016

Posted by Macrene Alexiades on

The Violet Files contributor (and frequent airport paparazzi subject) Rosie Huntington-Whiteley shares the secrets behind her first-class look as she jets to the French Riviera for the Cannes Film Festival.
Rosie Huntington-Whiteley is not just one of our favorite frequent fliers and multitaskers; she is also one of the most paparazzi’d travelers of our time. In her column for The Violet Files, the globe-trotting model, actress, and lingerie/perfume designer shares her travel itinerary, her packing essentials, and the elements of her best-dressed-list-making travel looks. This stop: the French Riviera.
In my carry-on: My iPhone and Macbook Air, Tatcha Indigo hand cream, and a
travel-size dry shampoo from Moroccan Oil to freshen up, plus some organic nuts in case I need a snack.
Entertainment plan: I’ll grab some of my favorite British magazines from the newsstand at Heathrow—like Elle UK and Harper’s BAZAAR UK—and do some light reading.
Airplane outfit strategy: The flight is short, so I’ll forgo my usual full outfit change  and just dress with comfort in mind.
Beauty strategy: When flying, I drink a lot of water to stay hydrated. I pick up a bottle in the airport so it’s always on hand. Before landing, I’ll do a quick spritz with the travel-size Caudalie Beauty Elixir for a fast refresh.

Luggage check: I’ve been away in London for about two weeks, so I’ll be accompanied by two large checked bags.
Checked-bag beauty: Although I’ve been loyal to my current skincare routine, I have some warm-weather essentials that are absolutely necessary for a trip to
Cannes: Soleil Toujours sunscreen spray and Chantecaille Ultra Sun Protection SPF 45 for safe sunning, James Read Sleep Mask and Wash Off Tan for added color, Dr. Macrene’s Neck and Decolletage Treatment, May Lindstrom’s Jasmine Botanical Mist, After Sun Milk from Moroccan Oil to use post beach, and Rosie for Autograph Shimmer Body Oil to add some glow to my exposed limbs.
